We stay near YCK MRT but unsure whether to pick AJC or NYJC since hearing NYJC is a fast-rising JC! Open to all opinions! Thanks 😄
Can't explain why but I feel more comfortable with AJC. I will choose this JC if in your shoe.

DS told me this morning he also wont be able to concentrate in class this morning. I never realise he is kancheong (always think he is very bo chap).
even the most bochap kid will be kancheong at major exam result release.

I'm not sure how different facilities are among the JCs. I assume they're all about on par. What I would look for are the soft resources. For eg., the subject combinations offered by the JC, the teaching resources, the extra programmes and CCAs, the support and guidance given to students on university applications etc... These are far more impt than physical facilities.

I wouldn't choose a JC based purely on its A level results. I would select a JC that best suits the learning style of the child and where the child is suitably challenged.

In terms of distance, bear in mind that JC hours are long, with JC1s busy with PW plus CCAs.


Is CCA compulsory in JC?

I don't think so but most students would want to participate in one to build a stronger bond with the batchmates and also to build up their portfolio.
