Don't wait that long - it may be too late. How old are your kids? Carve out little bits of time even if it's just 10 mins to chat after the kids are in bed, or a quick meal without the kids. It doesn't have to be the same type or duration as it was pre-kids.

I was just talking in jest...My girls just finished their PSLE and both of us do spend a bit of time playing our favorite video games together(those we played in our teenage years)when our girls had slept or I will accompany him to watch TV together for a short while before sleeping.

I feel you. We also hope the same thing. We even rarely see each other every week. My husband is busy at work and he frequently has out of the country business trips. I feel sorry for ourselves whenever I check our old photos on vacation together. I hope that we could also buy more time to rekindle our relationship. šŸ˜ž

unless hubby is on leave, we will go either to Jem or IMM before picking her.

That applies to us too. Our WE time is the morning breakfast as well as evening dinner when he fetches me after work. There was a time that we contemplated getting 2 cars vs 1 MPV. We went with the MPV in the end and it's probably a wise choice otherwise the WE time will not be there.

We are fortunate to have family support. We historically will plan for our yearly WE time trip without the kids. Mum was very supportive. Sometimes it can also be him going on business trip and I tagged along. Our next trip is coming up soon but this time we invited dd1 along too (leaving the other 2 dc behind). In any case, we believed we will enjoy as much even with dd1 as she is a big girl already.

Lol! I face the same thing from my kid too!

We tell him yes Daddy and Mummy do fun things without you because we are husband and wife first! We need our couple time so we went for lunch date together. You are not invited šŸ˜†

Parents without maid usually cannot go pak tor in evenings.

That said, I also believe that the kids need to understand that we parents need our time alone without them as well, especially when they are no longer pre-schoolers.
