My brother in law also went for knee replacement surgery.  He bought a stationary bike and exercised every day and was certified OK within 2 months of the surgery. I help her to massage and exercise with the physiotherapist advice 4x a day but she just doesn’t feel her knee is as good and can’t bend easily. Walking is also very restricted…is this the case? The upside to the knee replacement surgery is that she has started on a healthy living and exercise regime. After the surgery, she went for PT for 6 months, and when she was about to be discharged, she requested to join the gym facilities at SGH for a very subsidized and affordable fee. Now, she goes to the gym once or twice a week. She's lost a considerable amount of weight and that takes the weight off her knees.<br /><br />My dad accompanies her to SGH and both gets their ME time. She also ate less to take weight off...plus regular acupuncture treatments.  Somehow the other knee didn't hurt that much...takes lots of calcium tabs too. Oh yeah, bloody scared at first...but after the dds told her it' gonna be ok, she changed her mind and went for op. Normally old pp will be scared when they go for op. I also scared before go for my op. At admission, the staff pulled out his insce records. If it is full knee replacement, will it be much higher since the part will be more expensive and the recovery period in the hospital is longer? My MIL’s last knee replacement was more than 10 years ago and we spent around $11k at TTSH. So, I think $15k is a reasonable price considering it is more than 10 years later and operated at Mt Alvernia but I noted your mum’s operation is partial knee replacement. So I am wondering if the price will be significantly different if it is full knee replacement.</p>

Our knees can actually bend to 120 degrees. <br />everyday a person is immobile on a bed, muscle degenerates 5%. <br />Physiotherapy sessions at the clinic weekly after discharge. <br /><br />Btw, physiotherapy sessions during the 4 day stay is a whopping $700 for 4 visits.
