The maid, who is on trial in the Gulf island nation, had first claimed the boy raped her, but changed her statements after she was pressed by police investigators.

The boy’s lawyer Ibtisam Al Sabbagh, quoted by CNN Arabia satellite TV news channel, said the maid had managed to hide her pregnancy from her employers for several months before she was about to board a flight for her home country.

“But she went into premature labour before her travel. She delivered herself in the bathroom at her employer’s home,” she said.

“She had first claimed she was raped by the boy, who is considered a child, but it emerged later that she had a relationship with him.”

If a child is put in the room to watch the performance of a sexual act it is sexual abuse - that's criminal too. Molestation would be a separate charge, I think - I'm not sure. Usually, such cases is not a simple matter of sending maid home - pretty sure the maid will need to go through the legal process.

I think most people think that men can't be a victim of abuse of any sort. But men can be a victim of abuse too but they don't get much support because society unfortunately places them in the abuser role. The worst reaction is an accusation that the victim did something to trigger it.

I understand the dilemma you are facing but if you have second thoughts about her, the fact that you are asking for opinion means you have doubts about keeping her. Then my advice is don’t keep her. The only thing that may be keeping you from doing that could be the thinking it may be just viewing, it is troublesome to change a helper etc. But I think actions are fuelled by thoughts. Thoughts lead to actions. It is better to be safe then sorry.
