It is important to know what you want to attain when you look for \"private school\". Are you looking for O-level? Diploma? or Degree?

My recommendation is to go for O-level, since you mention \"Sec 5\". In which case SIM may not be as suitable.

You may try SIM. Although the school fees are more expensive than other private institutions, the quality of students are slightly better - in terms of discipline and motivation.

A good gauge is to go to the various instituitions to check out the campuses and have a feel of the environment, students and culture.

Another alternative is to go through the ITE route. Work very hard there and aim for poly education. The route may be slightly longer but at least the environment and culture will be more \"structured\".
