I also take doxycycline. It works for me.
I usually finish the whole course of antibiotics.

When my skin condition improves, I will stop taking.

However, as the doctor says, we have to finish the whole course for the antibiotics to work ๐Ÿ˜‰
Actually is one full course 2 weeks or a month... I'm bad... cos I usually take a few days when it starts to get outta hand and then when it starts to subside I stop ... But mine is kinda like a cycle... My breakouts can come every 4 - 6 weeks :? ... Errmm no I do not have the \"female\" mthly thingy :roll:

For a start try using sulphur soap (see pic) to control excess oil (sebum). https://www.healthline.com/health/beauty-skin-care/sulfur-for-acne

Sulphur soap can be bought at neighborhood shops for between $0.50 - $1.00.

You can see a doctor if condition is really bad. They have cream and medicine that can reduce it.

pimples disappear with passage of time. So do't bother of pimples in this age.
Teenagers are very conscious of their appearance. Too many angry-looking pimples on the face is very devastating and may affect their mood and confidence.
Like what Nebbermind said, maybe I'll bring her to the GP for some medicated cream.

Pimples on your back could be due to sweat and oil produced during PE. Maybe you could change out of your sweaty attire as soon as possible, clean yourself with a small towel.

At home, use a clean washcloth to clean your back. YOu could also try to bathe with an an-bacterial shower gel.

pimples only on your back, how about yr face? If your face is ok chances are either the clothing materials are not that breathable or u can try changing your bedsheet more freq.

Good point about the possibility of bacteria breeding ground. I've been mindful of that and thus I would regularly replace it and would also soak it in boiling water to disinfect it. Similar to what I do for dish sponge.

Actually I would not recommend using sponge and brush becos one needs to make sure these are cleaned after each use. Else becomes a breeding ground for bacteria. JMHO

Whenever I feast on it, maybe a 200g pack/wk for 2~3 wks, Iโ€™ll get serious outbreak, the last round lasted for more than 1 yr!!!


These days, I only enjoy a mini pack once in a while and the situation is very much stable.

My sis on the other hand gets such eruption on her face when she consume prawns.

Perhaps u shd examine your diet and try to figure out what kinda of food u r sensitive to, some of which may belong to what chinese terms as โ€˜heatyโ€™ (roasted stuff) or โ€˜poisonousโ€™ (beef, duckโ€ฆ). Also avoid oily food

The pimples only on the shoulder and back? Not face?

Do you use a backpack or haversack? Maybe the bag is dirty?

Which uniform vendor did you buy from? I heard that the non-BiBi BaBa vendor's quality is less soft than BiBi BaBa and can irritate sb with more sensitive skin. But your prob began long before right?

I also notice my boy beginning to get some pimples on his back (the NJC uniform is quite thick and he perspires easily). Anyway I told him to use the facial cleanser (with oil control) to wash his back. Has not checked on him yet.

I was the same as you with lots of pimples and I was recommended by a friend to a salon called true shape who has very good treatment for pimples. I sign up for their IPL face and enzyme peeling and after all the sessions, all my pimples are gone!!

I used to have some \"red dots\" at the back of my neck many years ago.. Once I asked myself if it was due to me incomplete cleansing. I was right. As I had long hair that covers the back of the neck, after each wash of hair I failed to flip up my hair to scrub/rinse thoroughly the covered area. Do you get what I mean? hehe, I hope I have explained it clearly.

Thus I diligently use a sponge since then, making sure that I would lift up my hair and scrub my neck thoroughly. And over a few months, the skin cleared up ๐Ÿ˜‰

Well, my scenario might not be similar to yours but you can infer for other causes? ๐Ÿ˜Ž
