Do you buy the small packet or big bag (10kg) of rice? We buy the 10kg type and will always hv some leftover white rice bec our rice bucket is quite small
The white rice can be used to cook chicken rice etc

I thought the cup given when buying the rice cooker is standard size.

For us, we are big rice eaters, we usually cook 2.5cups.
Dh pre-mix the brown and white rice in a bucket. So each time when I cook, I just scoop the mixed rice.
I didn't mix the rice...so if I want to eat plain porridge, I can still use the white grains. I use about 3/4 cup brown and 1 cup of white...depends on kids' appetite. Usually sufficient.

Big cup? 2 normal cups of rice for a family of 4 with growing kids think not very enough leh.

I used to be resistant towards brown rice...but it is more filling than eating white rice alone. I bought song he brown rice...mix 3/4 cup brown rice with 1 cup white rice.
