As she was a transfered maid, I was only told by the agency that I was her 2nd employer and her transfer case was due to other reasons.....

This was not my first experience catching a maid stealing though.. For my 1st maid employed years ago, i had chosen to report to the police. It was even worst and more troublesome than you think ...

We are still responsible to repatriate the maid back to her country (Airfare + Outstanding loan 2k) after she had served her jail term..

Its really double headache than you imagine !!

zilojian

Reply to Maid request to change employer on Tue, 05 Aug 2014 05:36:29 GMT

Not necessary if you can wait patiently for her to get a new job first…

But until then, you cannot get another replacement unless you apply a replacement under your 2nd child (if you have)…

Couldn’t make it despite being with them for close to 1 year. Communication was the biggest barrier so they didn’t even dare to entrust her to do simple cooking. The last straw was when she started to steal from the ah ma.

She had another replacement also from myanmar. Didn’t last long too (couple of weeks). She told us she is changing back to Indo maid.
