Great for book fans like us!<br />Doulos at VivoCity<br />15 – 26 December 2009<br /><br />The Doulos, a 130m long ship registered in the Guinness Book of Records as the Oldest Ocean-going Passenger Vessel in the world would be anchored alongside The Promenade from 15 to 26 December 2009 for the last time before it stops sailing.<br /><br />Doulos was built in 1914 as a freighter and today, she carries a multi-national crew and staff volunteers who promote international understanding and world-wide education through cultural exchange programmes, community service initiatives and a floating book fair. I think there will be another vessel next year as it seems to be a yearly event.<br /><br />By the way, the floating book fair was good.
