I was once in that situation...weepy the whole day and feeling helpless in the dark tunnel. It took me several months before I started to see the light...anti-depressants take time to kick in. Face the problem. It is not shameful to be depressed.

When a person is feeling the early symptoms of depression he/she may not be aware of it...and if family members wave it off as 'having the blues and it will pass', then he/she will not receive medical treatment until it is too late. See a doctor at the polyclinic and if necessary, doctor will refer to specialist. Don't wait.

Looking at his comic way of talking and gestures, we will never expect

him to be battling depression for quite a long time. He made many of us laugh but couldn't made himself as cheerful and happy as his movies and sitcom. RIP and thank you.
i loved his role in mrs doubtfire...it was very touching.

depression can be treated...don't know if robin Williams went for therapy. it's very very sad that a comedian would go this way.

I loved his films Moscow on the Hudson and my favourite Awakenings - I believe he out acted De Niro in that film.


My children loved him in Mrs Doubtfire and Jumanji.
