Got one miscarriage, early miscarriage on December. Very worry now. Compared with my previous success birth, now this pregnancy is very taxing to me.

According to my family genes, when woman get pregnant, we will vomit from first trimester till last, and sometimes blood can be vomited out. I am lucky enough that my last success birth to my girl who is 6 yrs old now, I only vomit twice and had excellent appetite that I gain so much weight that Gynae sent me for Dietetian to control my diet. But now I am vomitting like nobody business since a week before I know that I am pregnant.

Now I am vomiting like nobody's business. I smell weird things, touch dirty things (even abit of dusts), see gross things I will sure vomit within seconds. I even vomit all the way when taking a shuttlebus home from Interchange about 20mins rides. I call up Gynae, he said there's no point to continue to eat anti-vomitting medicine since I won't stop vomitting... And I heard from a friend saying that the more you vomit the best the pregnancy is.

Sometimes I took very light meals but still vomit, I wish I can stopped eating so that I got nothing to vomit out. But my hubby encourage me to eat as much as I can, both bb and me need nutrition from food.

Anybody got good remedies or ideas to reduce my problems?

Luckily my girl is there to comfort me, beside clearing up the table after we eat, she also attends to my needs like fetching me water, tissues and so on, she also dash around getting me a stool to sit when i got no energy squatting in the toilet to vomit. She sayangs me and always talk to my tummy 'DiDi or MeiMei dun be naughty, be a good baby and stay healthy.'
At least with her support, makes my pregnancy seem more happier and feel fortunate to have a girl first.

I know lots of u been thru this stage before... Really appreciate all mums and dads who bring these little Angels to earth and make their best effort to bring them up.

Reply to All About Pregnancy on Fri, 29 Jan 2010 05:17:41 GMT

hi

Your obstetrician will need to monitor it and do a glucose tolerance test (GTT) soon. My DS had eczema as a baby and the 1st quest the paediatrician asked and kept on asking whenever he had an attack was whether I had taken birds' nest when I was pregnant.

Your SIL due in March rite?? Don't wait so late to take the coconut water. Take from today I took it from the last trimester ie 7 mths onwards 3 to 4 times a week and true enough, DS came out clean. Its old wives tale, but seems to work. Seems that its also good for the womb or something. Also drank warm soyabean every single nite for fair skin so much so that the soyabean lady would set aside one cup for DH to collect every nite DS came out 'radiant' and v v white too compared to now.

Also drank red raspberry tea leaves to relieve discomfort. It is also said to strengthen and tone uterine walls and help delivery easier and faster.

Drank loads and loads of water and walked and walked to prevent water retention and swollen feet. Did loads and loads of 'made me happy' things like mani pedi, facial, massages (v v gd for blood circulation, but must go to pre-natal massage specialist)

I don't know if this is your SIL's first baby. I can give you a long list, but if given a choice waynemum, the most impt piece of suggestion I can provide is to be POSITIVE. That is v v impt. I really believe that it impacts on the baby in the long run. To cut the story short, if mummy is happy, baby will be happy and will grow up happy provided the positive philosophy is maintained. Also eat healthily - its a must.

I speak from my own personal experience. Actually there is just too much stuff to share lah really

If I can remember any other really impt ones, will add on.

autumnbronze

Reply to All About Pregnancy on Sun, 03 Jan 2010 10:38:32 GMT

hi waynemum,

have moved your topic. take the birds’ nest only if mums-to-be have taken it before, lest it triggers an allergic reaction.

chief, if there’s an existing topic, pls feel free to merge. thanks.

Hmm... Should scan all. but dun know why the Gynae forget to give me the 4th month's ultrasound pics. too late to ask as he never print out.

My girl every week will ask when we going to see Gynae, She has 4 motives to keep going. 1. She likes to play with the water dispenser in the clinic, always pretend she wants to fetch some water for me so that I won't be thirsty. 2. She loves to see the growth of the bb so that she can reports to her grandparents and school about the progress. 3. She will reports to me how many new fishes in the fish tank at the clinic. 4. Lastly and the main motive, she get a pack of rebena sweets from the Gynae.

Also dun know why the Gynae sees her also very happy. (He delivered my girl) So I told my girl this is the doctor who cut mummy's tummy up to get you out and beat your backside when you are borned, she asked 'is it true?' I told her to ask the Gynae but she dun dare.

Sometimes it helps alot when I explained to my girl the whole process of delivery (Both natural and Cesearan) with Discovery Channel and library books. She loves to read my pregnancy books I borrow.

Any confinement nanny to intro? or do I need? At times I felt bad to rely on my hubby and my whole family so much, sometimes I know they really purposely make trips down to help me or check on me. (Hope I won't suffer from pre/post natal depression)

Hmm.. Although I used to be a pediatric nurse but I am now a patient at home... Who needs all my family(as my nurses) and you all(as my counsellors). I bought lots of Medical reference books at home for this pregnancy period to read thru and prepare myself to be more knowledgeable (If I can) when I go back to work. But somehow everytimes when I open up to read, I will fall asleep after the first page... (Perhaps I can read every night so that my hubby can shorten or escape from massaging me to sleep).

If I ever sound harsh or too longwinded when I replied in the forum, do forgive me. Hee... Due to my former occupation, we are not allow to forget any details which will benefit or save our 'customers'.

As for my craving, it seems less aggressive than last few months. Maybe I give up... Hee... My girl did help me to nag and order food from daddy. If my hubby never comes back with the food I wants, she will scold him, but I somehow felt bad for her to scold her dad. (Disrespecting him mah)

My hubby did thanked me one day to have this 2nd child for us and sorry to make me suffer so much for him, he wished that I could transfer all the sufferings to him. Hmmm... Sound so sweet right! Imagine if our labour pain transfer 50% to our hubbies, firstly they may faint right away or have to take huge dose morphine, finally they won't dare to ask for 2nd child for the rest of their life. Haha... So funny.

I went for ultrasound again last week 17th weeks, Gynae trying very hard to find whether it's a boy or girl, but my bb just don't want to show. Cover the xxx part with both legs tightly. When I went for scanfor my girl to check for sex also the same, she covered with her whole hand. So have to wait for another month...

Any good confinement ladies to introduce to me? And what should I expect and provide for them when they are around? What's the market rate nowadays??? she don't need to look after or cook for my girl, my parents will look after.

jenniferjoey
