Because they do not need to be cleaned, and everyday is a fresh pair, and that I know of, all disposables are soft lenses. However, friends on the hard lenses seems to have more stabilized degree and astigmatism. Glasses are not able to correct the vision as accurately as contact lenses. Unless you can put them on and remove them for child ( I couldn’t do it well!), it’s best that you start them on it, only if they can handle putting lens on and removing them, themselves comfortably.<br /><br /><br />Cleanliness is paramount when handling the lens. So as a start may want to use disposables. If permanent ones, until child can clean them well,  parent may have to do so for them to ensure no infection etc.</p>
