      Love Clouds:
      Hi shopping mum,

My DDs think Science Alive is more of an enrichment centre.
The lessons there are more to enhance the topics/concepts taught in sch via experiments and in-depth examples.
Your DS may be a kinetic learner where he may enjoy and learn more via the hands on.
It can build his interest. However, he still needs to quiet down to do the analysis and answering.
      Thanks Love Clouds.
      I'll check it out.
      Are the lessons more advance?

        Hi SydneyBB,
        Did your DS improve?
My DS hates tuition but his results is getting worse. He cannot sit still for long, hates drilling.
He loved Sci in P3 but now doesn't want to read or do.[/quote]Hi Shopping mum,

My DS did improved. I hope he can maintain at around 90s (or even better :xedfingers: ) esp he is in P6 this year.
I feel Sci tuition is quite necessary as his sch does not provide much lessons or notes.
He is able to learn more info/details with diff examples.
He loves Sci, watches a lot of science documentary shows but he has no focus on which topics to study for sch exam. So the tuition comes in handy here.
Maybe you can let your Ds try out esp beginning of the year, they will have more experiments. Tell him there are experiments to \"play\". Don't wait till near exam period, the tuition will drill the students on exams questions. By then, hopefully, your DS is happy there already.
        All the best!

I am considering to sign up at Smart Science Lab for my P4. The lessons look very interesting as I was told that the students get to do experiment every lesson. Does anyone has any feedback?

My DS was very fortunate to be under her tutelage since P5. My DS's P4 form teacher recommended to us when his results dipped in P5 SA1. He was not coping well with the transition from P4 to P5 then. He told us that the tutor and her team are experienced MOE teachers who are also PSLE markers for many years, they have written very good materials and are excellent at explaining the concepts. Besides, this particular lady tutor is very good at motivating and inspiring students. Everything he told us about her has turned out to be true. She has taught my son very well. He looked forward to his weekly lessons, and even initiated to join her English classes. What I also appreciate is the meticulous marking for compositions and Science open-ended questions. All the worksheets are neatly and carefully marked with feedback/ encouragement on the worksheets. It is very hard to find qualified teachers who not only teach well but have a heart for our children. This road to searching for the right tutor for my DS has been fraught with some very bad experiences with irresponsible/dishonest tutors. I've also paid for expensive tuition from a 'branded' tuition centre only to find out that the class tutor is a fresh graduate. Hope this helps! Julia

Please share the contact with me.

                    Thank you.
