Its cheap and streams from most devices. Its cheap and works well and easy to set up. Phones. computers, tablets to watch and share my TV shows with my family. We always bring that along on holiday to catch up with our shows.

Do you need to be on wifi for this to work?

Once you connect the phone to Smart TV, can you stream whatever you have on your phone like for instance content from your apps?

It took me sometime to figure out some features - time consuming but rewarding.
Now, I am stuck at Toggle - how to view past programs on Toggle? It brought me to the screen that says t I need to sign in or sign up for a new account on http://www.toggle.sg.

'please visit http://www.toggle.sg with your internet browser to sign in or sign up for a new account. Go to 'my account>manage devices>add device' and enter the code below to pair with this device.'

When I access the given site via the internet browser on the smart tv, I couldn't sign in. It just couldn't activate further.

Anyone could advise please?

Yeah... it can be flaky. Try to do it in this sequence:

1) Plug in HDMI end of MHL to TV.
2) Turn on TV.
3) Switch TV input to HDMI
4) Plug USB end of MHL to your samsung.

I'm not sure about the xiaomi mibox, but if it is an android box, you can always install PPS as an app on the box and run it straight from there.

Actually, is there any place where there's some instruction and review of these android boxes?

I've not heard much so don't know much about it - but looks like I should try to find out more…

I'm not sure about the xiaomi mibox, but if it is an android box, you can always install PPS as an app on the box and run it straight from there.

Based on your earlier post, don't waste time trying to figure out how to stream from your phone to TV. Can be done but for the cost and time involved, may as well go get yourself one of those Android TV boxes from Sim Lim Square and stream the video from the app directly to your TV.

You can get an Android box (I have the Minix Neo X8), or you can simply buy an MHL cable for your Android phone and connect it to the TV. It does pretty much the same thing as the Android box or maybe even more since it has a phone, GPS, and faster processor than most Android box. If you have an extra Android phone lying around, this may be a cheaper option.


One end of the MHL cable goes into your phone's USB port. The other end goes to your TV's HDMI port. Some MHL cables are active, and require you to plug in an external power supply to process the signalling and conversion.

Had seen people use a gadget that is like a HDMI dongle connect to the TV, and it allow tablet to stream screen details onto the TV via wifi connection to the connected gadget. Any idea what is that?
