Although it is not explicitly stated the implication is that an updraft drove the plane into a steep climb. Flight_705<br /><br />Some things are beyond a pilot's control, like the Hudson river incident. Skilled airmanship saved the day then.<br /><br />Like it or not, a skilled pilot can make the difference in a tight flying situation.
