tang orh is very dirty...I usually have to wash a few times. that's why I am also lazy to buy this veg...it is very little after cooking.

Tang Oh is one of my fav leafy veg...goes well in soup or juz stir-fry...
They req more rounds of washing becos there are usually lots of soil / sand trapped in between the roots n the leaves...
But some which are sold in supermarts have the roots removed...hence \"less dirty\"...
For me, after washing for 3 rounds or so to get rid of the excess soil/ sand...
soak in water for a while before thoroughly wash them again...

I rmb when i was a little girl... whenever my late mum made huat kuehs...i would be told to keep quiet, not to make any comments (as i usually asked alot of questions pertaining to what she was making/ cooking) so that the huat kuehs could \"huat n blossom nicely\"... 😉
