Yes, you can. One way is following the instructions in the guide that was shared by kychua.

Alternatively, you could just insert your credit card details to create the account.

Once you’ve set up the account, head on over to "Settings".

In "Settings", scroll down till you see "iTunes & Apple Store" and select that.

Tap the Apple ID and select "View Apple ID".

Sign in with your credentials and tap on "Payment Credentials".

The "None" option should be available under "Payment Options" now.

Tap "None" and click "Done".

Voila! No more credit card attached to your iTunes account.

Hi, when I first created an account, I wanted to leave out my credit card info too. But I could not. A friend helped me with the creation. She advised me to use a card that was expiring soon and one that you seldom use. So far so good. 🙂
