The after sales service is horrible! I have hired 2 maids from this agency (one is due to replacement) and both maids have the same problem and have been using hp secretly when working even when she's feeding my son. One is from Indonesia and Myanmar. The boss of the agency gave us some recommendation and claimed the maid is very good, know how to cook and very hardworking and have high interest in cooking and doing housework. All is bullshit and are lies, this agency is very dishonest. Now i can finally understand why the other boss has left and set up another maid agency on his own. Myanmar one likes to use hp till very late 12am and still don't want to sleep. Whenever i scold her, she will turn her face away and no eye contact with you, like giving you attitude that she's not happy. We can either chose to send her back or proceed with transfer but we will have to pay for her lodging for 15 days which is $15 per day. After discussing with my husband, we decide to just buy a ticket and send her home to save the trouble and just in case if there's anything happen, we do not have to bear. Anyway, she is not a good worker for the next employer as she keep using her hp all day as her husband is in Singapore. And i can't believe that the agency ask me to book the air ticket myself to send her back and if i were to request them to book ticket for me, i will need to pay for service charge??? OMG what is this. Furthermore, their monthly salary for Myanmar and indonesia maids are quite high $650 per month with 2 off days. This agency is highly not recommended.

jamie1612

Reply to Frustrated!!-Fresh , Ex-Sin ,transfer-maid or overseas-maid? on Mon, 05 Jun 2017 07:40:58 GMT

Sad to see so many with helper problems… sigh.

I have hired about 5 Fillipina and about 7 Myanmar girls.
I am a push over employer by the way and I don’t interfere much and always hire ex sg or transfer as I have no paitience to train them.
Fillipina, only 1 finished contract.
1 girl hit Amah and ran off, the other’s just crazy in their own way. We thought with our experience, maybe its time to hire fresh young maid. So we got a 25 year old Filipino whom we thought would be eager to work since not easy to be given a chance to come to Singapore to work. Well, we were quite wrong.

She was quite lazy and in the first week of work, she complained of headaches, dizzyness, arm and legs aching. She had no basic idea of "hygiene" (caught her cutting her nails at the kitchen beside my water jugs… ) and to be honest, she was a bit off in terms of "common sense". She can use the toilet scrub (with hard bristles) on my marble vanity top making scratches while happily humming along - not looking at what she was doing. I had to shout at her from a distance cos I could see the damage. Her plus point is she readily apologizes with a smiley face which was why we put up with her.

Anyway, we went on holiday for 2 weeks but she was with my inlaws at home. Just before we came back, my mother in law scolded her when she realised that she stopped cleaning our rooms since we were not around. My kid’s bathroom had leaves in the tub and there was a layer of dust on the tables and sofa. When we got back, my mother in law complained but for us, we thought it doesn’t matter. End up, my maid came and talk to me. She said she want to transfer because she was not used to the work. For me, we were already hesitant before but since she decided for me then we didn’t have to think twice. Luckily, it was still within the 3 month "warranty" period. On the day she left, we told her to wash all her bedsheets/pillow cover only to find out that she was indeed "unhygienic"!!! She had a small utility room and after she cleared out her stuff, we saw spider webs in the corner where her cup and snacks are usually kept and her new pillow was greyish brown!! This was after the pillow cover was removed!!

Anyway, we picked up the transfer maid (first time choosing a transfer maid) who seemed very pleasant. But sigh… like they say transfer maids usually got issue. Her reason for transfer was "motion sickness" cos her previous employer need to go somewhere every day and she feel giddy and cannot take it. So she ask for transfer. When we selected her, we told her you don’t have to go anywhere so she said ok, she will "try" and work for us. (tell-tale sign no. 1) First week, everything went well and we were extremely pleased with her. Come day 10, she sent me a sms while i was at work to say she is sick, she cannot work anymore, her body cannot take it and she want to go back phils. By the way, she was in Singapore for less than 3 mths. Anyway I messaged her and told her that it was too sudden and I will go back and talk to her.

When I reached home that night, she seemed perfectly fine but she kept complaining her hands numb. I offered to bring her to a doctor but she said she didnt want to waste my money and she just want to go home. I reminded her of her loan but for whatever reasons which I still cannot comprehend she was of the opinion that she didn’t have to pay off the loan. (according to her phil agency). I thought of waiting for few days to see how bad her hands were but my inlaws then told me she was "on strike" for few days already. So, I contacted the agency and let them talk to her. Of course, they scolded her and said she cannot go back cos the loan was outstanding and my maid wanted to call MOM! Luckily, it was Sat and they were not open. Anyway, I foresee a lot of problems with her so I decided to send her back there and then. I told her to pack up and ask her to sort out the issue with her Phil agency and the SG agency. Funnily enough, her hands were not numb when she picked up her heavy luggage… sigh

In conclusion, I was naive in thinking that these maids would make the most of the time here to earn more money for better life back home. The agency told me plenty of such cases where they just decide they don’t want to work anymore out of the blue without thinking of the consequences.
