Erm, 没有正确或不正确 ：）

1. journalistic license - metaphorically speaking, akin to \"Setting the Sports Spirit Ablaze\" or \"Release the Soul of Sports\"

2. read the context (first few paras on the history of SEAG) - it's abt sports in Singapore being dormant or in a hiatus for several years, so by lighting the torch, we set the (sports) spirit/soul free.

3. If your issue if with 运动魂, don't worry...it originates from Taiwan and is widely used by Chinese copywriters for ads and commercials. If I'm not wrong, lexicon's been \"formalised\" by the pedants including MSM.
