My daughter was shy in the beginning as this was her first time but the Chinese teacher made lots of effort to engage her. The lesson is very interactive and lively. But trial lesson is one to one, in actual lesson the interaction would be less since the class size is up to 6 students. Still, at the end of the lesson I asked my daughter if she enjoyed and would be keen to continue, and her answer is quite affirmative. Yet to sign up though as husband wants to wait and see.

I understand most of the parents’ concern - 3 times a week is too hectic for your child with other enrichment ongoing besides school.
Initially, I feel it this way too, and I was asking for 2 times a week…!!
Upon understanding because they (lower primary children) have shorter attention span, hence each lesson is shortened to 1 hour, thus thrice a week, I let my son give it a try…

After my son attended the lessons, he enjoyed them so much that he never complain. It had became a routine to him.

Think about it, just treat that 3 hrs a week as a revision to your child… How can your child’s MT not improved if he was ‘revised’ 3 times a week regularly…?
The best part is, you need not travel, lessons go on at all kinds of weather conditions, and you get to rest or do your own thing while someone helps u to revise with your child.

My son is doing better and better in MT with Connected Learning… How not to improve when they recap & make him write the new words he learnt in previous lesson…
They follow the school syllabus & in fact teach more than the school textbook (words), they communicate with your child in mandarin three hours a week, they teach / practice oral & listening comprehension too!!!

But I dun know how well they equip themselves to teach Sg syllabus since the tutors are based in China..are they going thru a training like most sg tuition center do? They dun provide homework/worksheet too.

I also dunno. But the teacher for my daughter seem to know the syllabus better than me 😂
They do provide homework in the form of compo which the child must email back to them.

How old is your child?

Does your student care have computers connected to the Internet? Maybe let your child do the lessons during student care rather than after 6:30pm.

his childcare do have computers but it is not enclosed..means there will be a lot of disruption. Anyway, will talk to the centre manager whether they will allow my son to do so..
