Just watched on Ch 5 9am the Declaration of Independence by our late MM Lee. Wish he will join us in the birthday celebrations today.



It was just a recording of his voice.

I was actually hoping to see his face (pix of 1965) tog with his voice.

Recorded about 3 years ago. He tasked the reading to a newscaster way back in 1965. Hope I am correct.

Yeah, I agree. I like his voice but not that suit on National Day.

Dick Lee song for this year is quite nice. I like the 2012 song by Olivia and the little girl best. Actually most of the Singapore ndp songs are very nice and catchy.

Was hoping to catch Dick Lee appearing with the piano on a platform to sing this year....lyrics of this year's song are meaningful. Even better if he appeared with Kit chan. But it turned out JJ sang the song instead.
Anyway, it is a different NDP...PM joined the crowd on the ground.

i love 'we are singapore' most. this year's song by dick lee gives me a certain sadness because the MV has LKY in it.
