The school has \"Structured IP\" (SIP) program to help those who did not perform well at Sec 2 or Sec 3. Like RI, HCI also provides a lot of support to their weaker students. One of my friend's ds is asked to join some study group after school, and the school also provides remedial lessons. Another of ds's friend, gamed too much in Year 2, attended SIP in Year 3 and it served as a wake up call. Can any senior RI parents confirm?<br /><br />In Year 1 to 4, the O level class follows a different curriculum called RPD (other classes follow RP curriculum). If I am not wrong, those DSA-ed with t-score below 240 goes to this RPD class.<br /><br />At the end of year 2, RPD students with GPA 2.8 can go to RP class in Year 3. The strong seniors eg y4 will be around to help with the tutorial.<br />The bonding is pretty good as they know pretty well their seniors.. Even during boarding they have tutors roaming ard at nite &amp; the boys will need to attend the classes btw 7.30-9.30pm everyday... I think RI doesn't have O level track so does it mean that your DS' friends have to leave RI at Y2?<p></p>]]></description><link>https://forum.kiasuparents.com/post/1557416</link><guid isPermaLink="true">https://forum.kiasuparents.com/post/1557416</guid><dc:creator><![CDATA[zbear]]></dc:creator><pubDate>Tue, 11 Aug 2015 10:40:10 GMT</pubDate></item><item><title><![CDATA[Reply to Poor &#x27;A&#x27; Level Result for IP Student - What&#x27;s the next Step? on Tue, 11 Aug 2015 10:33:44 GMT]]></title><description><![CDATA[<p dir="auto">Its true A levels seems so far away… But all IP track schools i suppose have this what they called summartive tests like in ri, every 2/3 weeks &amp; this tests is very important as it play a part in the mid &amp; final yr exam marks.<br /><br />I believe the Gep student somehow lost interest in the studies or something is affecting his studies eg: family problems…<br />It can be quite sad tho… As a child they need our moral support &amp; love when the going gets tough…<br />But strange, as in Y2, the overall GPA will determine whether you are gud enuf to go to the IP track… &amp; some of my DS friends end up in the O level track to be honest…but it is just a handful… Mostly are DSA sports students…</p>
