This Geylang Serai Heritage Trail covers a large area, from the east side Lorong 22 Geylang to west side Geylang Serai, and from the north side Sims Avenue to the South side Guillemard Road. The Trail lets you explore the various historical buildings and religious places of worship, including churches, temples & mosques, representing the religious harmony that Singapore enjoys as a multi-racial, multi-cultural country.
This is Uniquely Singapore, Uniquely Vibrant Geylang Serai - Heritage in Harmony.
In this Heritage Trail, samples of famous food stalls from Lorong 22 Geylang to Haig Road Food Centre selling local delicious delicacies are also featured.

About Chinese Heritage Centre
The Chinese Heritage Centre (CHC) was founded in 1995 to advance knowledge and understanding of the ethnic Chinese communities in different parts of the world. The CHC undertakes a range of research, exhibitions, public education, documentation/archival collections, and community outreach activities.

A permanent exhibition in the CHC called Chinese More Or Less: An Exhibition on Overseas Chinese Identity has been unveiled since July 2005. Another permanent exhibition in the CHC called Nantah Pictorial Exhibition has been unveiled since 2007. This exhibition captures the spirit behind the founding of Nanyang University (Nantah), the first and only Chinese-medium institution of higher learning outside China.

Free admission for all Singapore Citizens and Permanent Residents.

We buy the family cable car pass for about $120 per year per family. And we visit Sentosa a lot via cable car which also allows us to use the cable cars on the island itself. There are lots of free things to do on Sentosa. The beaches are our favourite.

There used to be a lot of farms @ LCK/Kranji, but they must have moved. Used to just walk in some organic/agro tech farms to visit the farmers’ markets, nurseries, fish / prawn farms, goat farms and pet farms…There are some farms that charge a small admission fee: Hays Dairies, Bollywood Veggies, D’Kranji…If DC like horses, can pay $10 to ride a fine pony at Saddle Club!

You can also conduct your own NE/Heritage Trails like I did. But you must read up before you go, otherwise it’s just going to be "走马看花" trail… It helps if you’ve old family photos of those heritage landmarks.

Look out for FREE public roadshows by the govt agencies too. Some past roadshows we attended:

2. LTA (Bus exhibition at Ngee Ann City) - fantastic history exhibition on SG buses!

Ang Mo Kio Town Garden West is a community park that is situated opposite Ang Mo Kio Town Library, along Ang Mo Kio Avenue 6.

Besides this great outdoor playground, there's McDonalds which is next to it and you can also bring your kids there for a happy meal. A nice small indoor playground structure is placed next to Mac.

There is one at Pasir Ris Kids Kumpong that provide animal feedings too ( now that i recall, 😛 ) but i find longkang fishing expensive.


The Koi fishes are super friendly here, they will kiss /suckle your fingers while trying to feed them. You can pat and stroke gently of th fat fish bodies .Each packet of feed abt $1 to $2 as well .

When i was there some time ago, the ducks n geese were locked up, looked a bit sleepy too...
