I didn't know tt the teachers in sch asked the kids to keep their Chinese textbooks all the way to P6. I thot by the time they reach P6, P2-P4 stuff shld be chicken feet to them (I hope so, haha)

You will still need to keep this P2 Chinese Textbook 2A, 2B, all the way, to P6.

Chinese Tr in primary schools informed all their pupils to keep their Chinese textbooks A & B, from P1 to P6.
Tr (Lao Shi) remind students not to lose, or give away any of these A & B textbooks, because when come to P6 : student need to refer back to all the past Chinese vocabulary & phrases taught and learnt, from P1 to P6, throughout these past 6 years, in preparing for Chinese Psle Paper 2.

So, this $2.70 brand new Chinese 2B textbook, has a useful remaining life of up to P6, not just for remaining 2.5 months left, for end of P2.

After your child finish P6, then can pass it on to someone else.

One more thing -
When finish Chinese textbook A at end of Semester 1 (Jan to June), do not lose textbook A.

Why ?
When come to Term 4 Chinese end of year exam Paper 2, students are tested in the entire year Syllabus, since beginning of January.
Means that Term 4 Chinese Paper 2 will test both A and B syllabus entire year, not just test Semester 2 (July to Nov) textbook B syllabus only.

While it is best if u can get free used copy of the book, u may want to consider if it is really worth the effort to buy 2nd hand ones. ( after factoring in the time/transport cost to/from yr place to the store/seller.) If I remember correctly, new CL textbook costs about $2 plus from school bkshop/popular. JMHO.

I think it is better that you quickly buy a new textbook and sell as 2nd hand this year end instead, as SA2 exam is in end October usually and she needs the book.

Do you want to try the 2nd hand bookshops at Bras Basah? The one on first floor, corner (nearest to NLB) - I think it's called Evernew. They should have many textbooks and I find their prices are fairly cheap.

can call Evernew bookshop (sell 2nd hand books) at tel 6338-1753, check with them whether got that Chinese 2B textbook u want, before go down
