Hoping that someone here has the experience.

The electrolux ceramic glass hob at my mum’s place started to crack. I suppose we will need to replace it.

This was provided by the developer and given that she has stayed there for 2-3 yrs I don’t it’s covered by warranty.

My questions are :
1) Does anyone know if we need to replace back the same hob? As in same model?
2) Are all the hob space configurations the same? Was wondering if we can get another brand/ model or need to buy back electrolux.
3) Where would be a good place to shop?

I was quite surprised that it’s not that durable as she only had it for less than 3 years.

No noticeable increase in electricity bills. I used to use more than 1 cylinder of gas a month so there is a bit of savings for me actually.

Mine is just a portable kind, below $80 kind. Did not get the built-in kind cos I know of 2 users whose tempered glass cracked and 1 whose tempered glass chipped. I only have 1 cooker as I have a steamer, oven and slow cooker as well.

Heat control is easy as it is digitally controlled. Comes with timer so that it will switch off automatically. Both my aunt and mum in their 80s and 70s respectively have no problem converting.
