<![CDATA[Maid who tell lies]]>I send them directly back home w/o sending to agent to recycle to ano family. I buy airtic & ask her pack 3 hrs before flight & check her belongings at airport so she’s aware her acts cannot be hidden.


If u keep them, u’ll embolden them to using yr or next eyer’s clothings, cosmetics. jewelry, eat & enjoy her time when everybody is in sch & at work then tell u she didn’t touch & she don’t know. These are characters who will only look out for themselves even tho u gave them employment & before u know it, they find wants to ‘increase’ their take-home - secondary job, borrow money fr loan sharks, hook on to banga bfrd … the list goes on.

I only keep maids who appreciates employment, take instructions with seriousness, take care of my family as much as I’m taking care of her (like family). If she don’t get involved, then their heart is not on the job. In fact, 2 of my helpers benefitted fr learning new skills directly fr me & I’ve sent one to learn haircutting skills & ano to complete her O levels here tho she alr completed Yr 10 in her home country. I’m firm, but call for their respect where it’s due & they get motivated for self-devpt no direct cash involved to feed their greed. I want to steer them to purposeful living. Anyway, that’s some suggestions fr my experience only.

We were sceptical and wary that she’s pulling a fast one, which made me feel really weird, because I could trust her to my home and i couldnt even trust her words. I decided to call the lawyer in Philippines to find out whats happening and eventually gave her the loan. I think its important to find out facts before accusing them, they are vulnerable and alone here, subjected to scams by locals and even their family back home. Once the trust is broken between you and them, things will change. Love them like theyre your family and I believe most will reciprocate with honesty and trust.

Maid told my mum that she will only work 1year with my family. Maid uses calling card and we help her with the topup etc as she doesn’t own a mobile phone. Btw she is a fresh Myanmar maid, no experience working in Spore.

After 3months turn into a terror, know how to talk back etc also.

She went back then went another employer, within 1 week she was calling me crying she want come back. Later I found out She told her 1 week employer her father died!! ( he died like 25yrs ago!!)

After coming back 2nd time, her attitude even worse, wear make up at home, manicure, handphone out all day.

I couldn't take any more and was looking for a maid and when she got a wind of that from a family maid she demanded to be sent home immediately

I gave her annual bonus, Angpow and presents but she is going around spreading gossip to my family's maid's.

One previous girl we had even lied her husband died & she kept crying & wailing in 'grieve' & lied her bros promised to keep husband body till she arrd to see him. Prob is she didn't check her story & we kinda caught her in the act (she's fr Bandung but her hubby fr Surabaya), so she realised I'm checking for the truth. Then she simply 'admit' hubby going to be buried in Surabaya. We knew she was lying but bought her airtic anyway coz DH & realised if she's going to extent to 'curse' her DH & wailing away, we won't hv a peaceful h'hold either.

We sent her home & forfeited our agency fees of aclosecto $3K then. We lost more than >$10K in all with Indo maids & gave up when we realised some Mynmar helper's are not so seasoned & devious.

It's more like yr Mynmar helper too greedy when exposed to the 'flower world' of adv country like Spore. She was probably after yr SIM card to cut her phone bills. I see her as ignorant of what technology can do, when the human not present she didn't realised surveillance is still present. They might think it's just a camera (like take pics of good memories?)

To me, it’s a must-have and it’s money well spent. They won’t have anything to fear if they are upright. It also serves as a deterrent to mischief.

I think maid woes are inevitable. Mine just returned to Myanmar. She’s capable but the next employer will have to be prepared for manipulation, lies (a lot), damages (a lot a lot) to household stuff and revenge (when she gets corrected or when she doesn’t get her way). The most ridiculous was she pried open my Iphone and denied (unfortunately, she was caught on cctv).


While she was efficient throughout her term with us, there was quite a fair bit of mind games. It was hellish during the period when she insisted on going back.
