We'll be thrilled if she can get a B, but will be happy with a C. <br /><br />I was a SAHM, and we lived overseas until a couple of years ago. Start with smaller numbers first.<br /><br />Show him with objects that 99 is almost 100, and 199 is almost 200. He has to see the concrete first, then he can learn to \"see\" them in his mind.<br /><br />Just want to say that some kids are just slower to grasp these concepts than others, possibly because their brains have not developed those abilities yet. You may have to go slow and be patient. Always use objects first if your son is not able to grasp the abstract easily. I have a daughter like that, and maths has always been a catching-up game for her. And her sister, 2 yrs younger, just \"gets it\" without any trouble and overtook the older one early on. My father used to grumble at me, but I also read new things, and overall, I think I read more than a lot of people.
