Um... I know of a Literature teacher, but her fees are rather high, and I engaged her primarily to help me manage my child who was doing poorly overall from Sec 1 to 3. We used her teaching him Literature as an excuse for the engagement. She's a very good motivational teacher. She's very effective and managed to pull my son's grades for his 'O' levels up for all his subjects. I am thankful to her. Not sure if she's teaching English. Do you want her contact?

How often,
do u let your Sec 4 students write English composition, inside the tuition class ?

Example
=======

For subject O-level English -

do u make your Upper Sec 4 students write a \"Continuous writing\" composition / essay,
EVERY alternate week

OR

your students do Not write essay every alternate week ?
Instead,
u just merely give them some sample model essays (composition) to read up themselves at home, but hardly or seldom ask the students to write essays inside classroom ? Whether students really want to read through model sample essays which u issued out, is entirely up to them.

PS :
There are 2 types of essay, for O-level exam.
I am more interested in those \"Continuous Writing\" essays.
Not so keen, in writing those \"email\" type of essays.

Not sure if this can help. When he was in Secondary school, my son's grades were atrocious. I was at my wits ends but I remembered someone who was with MindChamps when it started, and she told me to send him to her on the excuse of helping him with literature, once a week. It was expensive, but she was very good and I think the weekly sessions helped him a lot as he did quite well in his o levels for all his subjects and is currently doing his 2nd year in university. It's been a while, but I can hook you up with her if you are interested.

You can try calling https://mclass.com.sg/ in katong. All the teachers are former MOE scholars with teaching experience in IP & GEP schools and specializes in english / literature tuition. Classes from primary 4 all the way to JC2.
