The jars look good. But I wonder what variety of food we can pack inside the jars. In my mind, jar like this can only use for packing porridge and soup. If I pack noodle with soup, the noodle will become soggy after a few hours. Any other ideas what to pack in this jar? TIA...

This is only for the soup(eg. noodle). or gravy(eg. spaghetti/pasta), or stew. Rice or Noodle you pack separately and pour over when time to eat.

Tiger is lighter I think, but a bit more ex. So far I use the \"Cheap\" Endo Brand 200ml. Quite good.

It's fine when he eats it in school lor. Usually the other items are cold from the fridge (fruits/jelly - even the cheese itself was cold from fridge). so it keeps awhile. Never had it go bad by 10am lah. And well, hmm... my boy has not had stomach upset from any of the food.

I see friends packing yoghurt and yakult too - but I've not bothered with those - I just don't pack drinks either. (drink water lah. hahah).

I've packed the vegetarian char siew baos - the ones from NTUC also.

I had the same concern too. The 1st time I gave my boy the \"bao\", I actually made time that morning to bring another box of a few more steamed bao, just to spy on that bao I gave him at 6.30am. πŸ˜†

It's not hot, but it's not hard. Just room temperature. To my boy, he was ok with it. I'd earlier asked friends whom I've seen packing bao for their kids recess (they have quite a number of years more experience than me in packing food for school) - and they said their child said it's ok.

Well, you can try once and see if your child finds it alright? Mine's ok with the room temperature bao.

I know friends do give char siew bao and such, but so far, the bao(s) I've given are all vegetarian bao.


I will go NTUC and buy tmr. Then i will be the guinea pig. Thanks for all the wonderful ideas. My hubby thinks i am crazy when he saw me sticking those eyes onto the picks.
