Time flies and time waits for no man. <br /><br />DD’s 1st day in Secondary today. I accompanied her there and it felt so different now. She walked from the bus stop and through the school gate with one of her primary school friend, waved goodbye to me (who was walking behind a group of school mates, walking deliberately slowly) and that was it! A different picture from that 1st day in Primary 1. <br /><br />Now that both kids are in secondary school, I feel kinda disoriented. It is now time to think about what I want to do next.</p>

I saw the date of my last entry and it is almost surreal to note that my DD's PSLE papers are all over and done with! She has worked hard these past 9 months ( and mind you, so have I  :evil: ) and I am sure all P6s and their parents can FINALLY relax. It's time to party! :rahrah: <br /><br /><br />DD told me that a teacher in school commented that their batch this year is the first batch she has ever noticed to be in such HIGH spirits before each PSLE paper.  :boogie: Indeed, I noticed this too. When ds was taking the PSLE, the atmosphere was more solemn and many pupils were looking at their notes. This year, the kids were chatting and even playing catching! I guess different kids deal with stress differently! So this is how kids from Year of the Monkey behave! LOL! Not sure whether other parents notice this as well??!!!<br /><br />Anyway, a BIG pat on the back to all mummies and daddies. Hope everyone is doing fine too, esp the PSLE parents out there. Hang in there!<br /><br />The PSLE orals came and gone and it is also surreal. Can't believe that the orals are over so quickly. I guess the focal point is still the PSLE Papers next month and we parents are bracing for that.<br /><br />DD said she was not nervous during the Orals, largely as the examiners did not look stern and impatient. It was ambiguous and vague and I wonder whether she knew what she was saying or not. Perhaps she was protecting the pupil by not divulging too much or she was defending her position or she simply did not know the pupil well at all. DD's math tutor even said that her paper was quite a killer paper so I am happy that she managed to pass.
