Thanks for the tips. I just received my Joyoung today. Lazy Qxpress delivery man just left the thing outside my apartment! Anyone could have just taken it.

I got the DJ13b-d68sg or something like that. The controls are all in Chinese so I had a hard time figuring out how to do what. There was just a skimpy English manual that maps the controls to some obscure English words. Under the Selection menu, there are \"grains\", \"soy beans\", \"soy milk\", \"juice\", \"cereal\", \"porridge\", \"soup\". I can also select \"Warm\", \"Easy Wash\" and \"Stir\". What makes it confusing is that there are 3 more Action buttons \"Soaked Soy Milk\", \"Fast Soy Milk\", and \"Start/Cancel\". I don't think any engineer can make the thing more confusing.

Anyway, I groped my way around, and used the \"Soy Bean\" selection with the \"Fast Soy Milk\" action. 25 minutes later, I filtered the result with the provided strainer (you are right. It sucks. But not because of its granularity. It was really small and I had to keep clearing the strainer). But the end result was simply the best soy milk I've ever tasted I like it think and milky, which was exactly what I got. I used honey rock sugar, so maybe that's why it tasted so nice for me.

My okara went straight into the bin. Will try more concoctions in the coming days. I guess I'm going to be on a bean diet in the next few weeks... I didn't take lunch but was already quite full drinking just the soy bean and the red bean-black sesame \"cereal\" I made with the thing.

ChiefKiasu

Reply to Soy milk maker on Fri, 04 Mar 2016 08:35:06 GMT

Or hor....must :spank: Chief liao!
