I have used several in the last 20 years. But I must say the old ones last longer. The recent ones broke down faster and more easily. These days Electrolux appliances are mainly OEM by Chinese white good manufacturers like Midea. Not sure if they still have the Swedish made models. most brands now have their appliance made in China, if not all, at least the lower end models. When I chose my appliances, I picked those made in Europe whenever possible. My Brandt oven and microwave are made in Europe. But cooker hood made in China. European cooker hood have lower suction power. Only China made ones have higher suction power catering to the different cooking style.

Dnls_mum

Reply to Which electric hob and oven to buy? on Sat, 13 Aug 2016 03:34:14 GMT

starlight1968sg:

slmkhoo:
[quote=\"starlight1968sg\"]My ceramic cooktop is electrolux

Why sad? Kitchen all done and this is how the Brandt microwave and oven and the Sugawa hob looked all installed

http://i68.tinypic.com/8xvgbb.jpg\">
http://i68.tinypic.com/2ee9dsp.jpg\">

Incidentally, cooker hood is a slimline Brandt. So ended up with all Brandt appliances.

The Sugawa hob is great. We try to use the induction most time as it heats up real fast and great for boiling boil etc. only when we use some older pans that are non induction like my old scanpan that we use the ceramic. And when not cooking, we use the extra space on the hob as additional work space.

The microwave is not high. Just around eye level. Oven below. Not as low as when under the hob. So still ok. Large drawer below is great for storing pots and pans.

Oh and we got a new wine fridge too from the mega discount store at United square that pirated recommended. All appliances fitted in well, and with some remodeling, kitchen is spacious.

http://i67.tinypic.com/hwz81d.jpg\">

Dnls_mum

Reply to Which electric hob and oven to buy? on Fri, 13 May 2016 03:21:08 GMT

Does anyone have a recommendation for a table top oven (not microwave)?
