I read that mosquitoes and other insects hates lemon grass. Instead of planting, just buy the dried ones used for tea. Try this one I found online : https://shopee.sg/shop/9913487/ only 2.00 per pack. I just steep in hot water, cool it to room temp and put in humidifier machine like the attached. Simple and natural.

SINGAPORE: A total of 16 pregnant women have been confirmed to have the Zika virus in Singapore, the Ministry of Health said on Friday (Sep 23), nearly a month since the first locally transmitted Zika case was identified by authorities.

The doctors of the pregnant women are following up closely with them to provide counselling and support.

As of Friday, there are 387 confirmed Zika cases in Singapore, according to data on the National Environment Agency's website.

Responding to queries by Channel NewsAsia, the Health Ministry confirmed that 658 Zika tests were conducted between Sep 7 and Sep 17.

Of these, 197 were for pregnant and or symptomatic individuals who required the test.

The Ministry also added that it is exploring plans to set up a national surveillance programme to monitor the development of babies born to pregnant women with Zika. It added that it is keeping close tabs on the pregnant women who have been notified to have the Zika virus infection............

If one is not preggy n no intend to get preggy yet - nothing to fear of. Let fellow residents who are in dire needs to buy the mozzie patch n repellent first, instead of wiping the shelves in all pharmacy & create unnecessary panic/stress on stock level. Everyone Just be vigilant, check out for stale water, report mozzie etc are some better ways to fight mozzie. Since it is mild compared to dangue, young kids should not be much affected too.

I would suggest you make trip to eg Guardian near your place everyday. The one I went to unable to tell when the stocks coming in and yesterday morning there was some stock (not much really) and placed near the cashier. there were 2 types of patches and dd took one each for me to read the instructions and when we decided which one to buy the stocks got wiped off..unbelievable. cashier told us the paying customers took few packets each.

glad to receive one bottle of mosquito repellent just now, when grassroot activity leaders went to every household, to distribute.

My friend said Sg pharmacy store run out of mosquitoes repellent, so went Johore Bahru pharmacy shop to buy.

Mosquitoes so irritating !
