I've trained DS3 to put his things in designated place so that he won't <i><i>lose </i></i>them. However, he also got the same sickness when looking for things - look at the surface and don't bother to dig in.  <img src="https://forum.kiasuparents.com/assets/plugins/nodebb-plugin-emoji/emoji/android/1f61e.png?v=f4f27f6278e" class="not-responsive emoji emoji-android emoji--disappointed" style="height:23px;width:auto;vertical-align:middle" title=":(" alt="😞" /> DH not only misplace things, he'll also  :x  :x and accuse that we move his things. There was once when DS3 was about 4 when DH was looking for his phone charger which was not where he usually plug in.<br /><br />DH: Where's my phone charger?<br />ME: Is always at the socket.<br />DH: well, it's not there.<br />ME: Did you bring it to the office?<br />DH: No, somebody has taken it. Who played with my thing?<br />ME: Who would want to play with your charger. None of the boys came to the room.  :roll: <br />DH: But somebody must have.  :x <br />DS3: Pa, think where you might have left it. Trace your steps. He will look for it BUT come back and say "not there".  So I go and I can find it wor… (i think he only take glimpses and don’t bother to look further or move things around)<br />b) he forgets where he put his things (this is different from (a).  In (a), I direct him the location but still cannot find!). He is supposed to be in charge of "technology" stuff like connectors and wires…eg hp charger, card reader, camera charger…etc but i always end up looking for it…<br />c) doesn’t help in organizing/putting things in proper places.  He take things and does not put it back to the original place (&amp; that is part of the reason for (a) and (b)…</p>

DH treated me as his secretary when we first married. He even got me to write out his cheque for him to sign.  :x Through the years I've learn to  :siam: As long as he got arms and legs and highly mobile, I refrain from helping (sometimes can't help but intervene like when things are misplaced but then, I now also harden my heart not to bother). So, now it goes like this:<br />At home,<br />DH : did you see my wallet?<br />ME: never<br />DH: can help to find.<br />ME: sorry, very busy. go find yourself<br /><br />If DH is outside and I'm at home<br />DH: can check if I've left my wallet at home?<br />ME: What? I very busy you know.<br />DH: Sorry lah, thank you hor<br /><br />As for cooking, DH will die of hunger if he doesn't eat for 3 hours so he'll cook every now and then for himself. Except for DS3, none of us dare to eat his cooking cos DH never wash the utensils clean. We have to rewash every pan/plate/spoon/bowl before we use them. I have to close my eyes when I enter the kitchen cos I will  :x  :x when I see the state the sink is in. DH is always frustrated cos he always wanted DH to give him a lift to gatherings and many times DH has to circle the bus stop where he's supposed to be picked up. I'm also frustrated cos DH would pressurized me to be on time yet after rushing through my chores, we got to wait for his friend.   :roll:  :x  I never understand why he couldn't make his way to the venue but has to take a lift from DH. The only times when he would be punctual are work related and our wedding day.  All our friends and family make jokes about it.  So  :oops:  and darn  :stupid:  for me.  I was known for being punctual to the state that if I m late for an appt with my friends, thay would be worried. The toothpaste thing, just roll up the ends and they have some kind of device for that these days. </blockquote></blockquote><br />I share the same view on these. <br /><br />The one most irritating thing is my DH's warped sense about punctuality.  The only times when he would be punctual are work related and our wedding day.  All our friends and family make jokes about it.  So  :oops:  and darn  :stupid:  for me.  I was known for being punctual to the state that if I m late for an appt with my friends, thay would be worried. The toothpaste thing, just roll up the ends and they have some kind of device for that these days. <br /><br /><br />The only thing that really irritates me is when DH dumps his damp sweaty clothes into the laundry bag. He just doesn’t get it that it will stink the whole load if the laundry is not done immediately and colours might run and stain other clothes. To him, no big deal, stink never mind, afterall gonna wash.</p>
