<![CDATA[Happy Valentine's Day!]]>I was looking for the wishes thread but could not find one. Does it mean no one celebrates Valentine anymore?


We got a hand-made message from our dd this morning.
DH made tom yam soup dinner for both of us, special noodles for dd
and MADE mango ice-cream dessert for all of us! Yummy surprise indeed!

Hmm...what did I do? I showed appreciation of their good work! šŸ‘…

I think I will probably do the same as you - try it out when the hype quietens down.

I don't think the hype will quieten down...there are often long queues...maybe people have not had the chance to experience it yet. while in the queue, I heard one of the staff telling an elderly couple that she will not release a table to them until the rest of couple's family have arrived.

Only one of the THW in HK is Michelin-starred. The rest and the ones in Sg are not.

Just warm up or panfry for you nia.


The bosses are one estate agent and another developer (i shanā€™t divulge), thatā€™s why THW is at certain malls:)

The ā€˜Michelinā€™ title is also not ā€˜zhunā€™ one, cos before opening, they sent their Singapore chef to HKā€™s 1-starred restaurant to understudy for a short period. Then they returned to Singapore to replicate the dimsum. That is to say, the Singapore THW outlets are NOT awarded Michelin star. The chefs are also not from HK; nor are they award-winning.

No need to queue, no need to get hyped over it. Just try it out when thereā€™s no queue:)

PS: the made-on-the-spot dimsums are like your Lei Garden and Golden Palace Crystal Jade at Paragon. Other Crystal Jade dimsum/confectionery are also prepared at a Central Kitchen.

I also prefer dim sum with wider selection. This place is good for quick nibbles and small group. Eat and go.

we were lucky not having to wait long on valentineā€™s day as it was early (1115am)ā€¦another 15 min more, the queue was rather long.
while in the queue, the staff would hand out menu so that the waiting time would be cutā€¦after that, the food arrived fastā€¦it was very much like quickly eat and go.

I still prefer the usual taste dim sum.

Nowadays no long queue. I think not worth to queue 1 hour
