He would never have taken regular walks with me if not for our dog. But in walking our dog, we got to really talk. There’s just some magic in talking when walking. My kids also learnt to be more responsible when they help to take care of it. Although our first is not adopted, we bought it , it was the first pet experience for both of us, I think in the future for our second one, we will consider adopting instead.

mm.... expensive! not to mention grooming, vet visits, sometime it feels more expensive than taking care of a child!

a visit to the vet is MORE expensive than a child going to see the GP.
when the dog gets old and develops skin problems, it's really heart-breaking to see it suffer.

I can’t talk about adopting, but never buy from pet stores. I got my boy from a registered breeder when we were living overseas. Best would be to visit the puppy at home, see the parents, ask about health testing. Any good breeder would want you to ask. But dogs are the best.

Me and DDs love dogs...We want to keep a maltipoo but I am giving birth in March so not quite possible.

Signed the girls up for volunteer work at SPCA and they are on their first day for tomorrow.They are quite excited haha.
