The main reason for it is our lifestyle. We are drinking soft drinks like it is water. We need to cut down on the sugar and change our lifestyle. If we don’t take care of our own health, then who would?

But actually, I would like to suggest that people switch to quinoa instead.

A quick search shows that quinoa scores higher on the GI levels than white or brown rice, which is great for people suffering from diabetes. There’s a lot more fiber and anti-oxidants that comes with it, so why not? Getting more bang for your buck, I feel.

My dad was suffering from diabetes so I decided to make a switch to quinoa and his doctor says that his sugar level has significantly reduced. Slowly, the whole family is eating quinoa now. I think best to try incorporating quinoa into your diet then brown rice since it’s better anyways…

Do you have any research done to prove your statement? Our stomach is acidic. And it has its purpose for being acidic. By drinking alkaline water, the stomach’s pH will change. In the long run, what will happen? Just by this logic, it doesn’t make sense to alter the pH in our stomach. How will it function then? Worse is if the stomach cells mutate because the environment has changed and they become cancerous cells (I just anyhow say this. Same like what you did.
