IP school NUSH allows students to accelerate if the kids have the abilities.
For example, Y1 kids who know sec 1 & 2 math well may be promoted to Y2 math or even higher (but for other subjects, they remain in Y1 if they are not as good in the other subjects); Y1 kids who are good at chemistry may be promoted to a higher level too. Y5 or Y6 kids may be offered university modules fr NUS etc... very flexible according to kids' abilities.

[/quote]Actually for IP schools such as NUSH, school materials are more than enough for survival.
For parents who really think their kids need more practices and have time, they can just get the O level and A level books. If not wrong, most IP schools cover O level syllabus in less than 4 years (faster pace) & different topic sequence (that means in Y1 may be need both sec 1 & 2 books and in Y2 may be need sec 2 & 3 books etc)

Any interesting books to recommend?
