<![CDATA[Is it true the P4 SA2 papers cannot be brought home?]]>Unless this school’s policy is such that it does not allow papers to be brought home.

This is my guess. At P4, children sit for the school-based examinations, in which the school will recommend a subject combination based on their results. Perhaps, this has to do with not returning the papers to the parents.
I heard that there is a parent who wished for her child to enter the cream of the crop class, emailed the teacher and cc the HOD and the Principal, on a question that majority has answered correctly except for her child.

Yep, sounds like your school's VP has fed you some nonsense.
As far as I know, MOE mandates that x% of SA2 paper questions have to come from the MOE data bank to have a minimum standard. So if other schools can allow students to bring back their papers, no reason why yours can't.

Note: reference to phtthp's comment - not all schools allow everything to come back, eg. my child's school does not allow Paper 1's (essays) to come back. But all the other papers are returned for CA's, SA1, SA2.

#2: MOE even allows PSLE questions to be compiled and sold in bookstores now... so what more about the data bank questions. Besides, you may not even know which ones are from there and which ones were set by the school.

Some schools allow Paper 2 papers to be brought home, whereas Paper 1 papers like compo & zuowen can only be seen in school.

One way is during Parents meet Tr session, parents can request to see paper 1 compo / zuowen, after that Tr take back to keep. But at least, cam get to see which areas are weak

Kids get to check the situational writing/ compositions in school but we have never gotten those papers back before since P1.

If HOD cannot give u a reasonable answer, then approach VP or Principal.

My child's school returned all P4 SA1 , SA2 papers for the 4 subjects, including all english composition and zuowen papers.
thanks! strange.. wonder why my child's school doesn't return the papers.. i want to see where he went wrong
