You just need a screw driver to secure the screws of the table legs.  All holes have been pre-drilled for the buyer.  That’s the beauty of Scandinavian DIY furniture.</p>

I also purchased 2 bed sets from V.Hive and delivery is also free. Thus, ikea’s $55 delivery fee is not that cheap. I can’t use Billy bookcase cos it’s mdf and I love to overcrowd my bookshelves. Bought Linnarp (?) bookshelves many years back and these are holding up well - my books are packed 2 rows deep (each shelve cubby hole easily 50 or more books, and per shelf like 4x2 cubby holes) and they have not sagged. Unfortunately this is a discontinued line - I do hope they bring it back. DH is the handsy type and we have had no issues diy-ing those shelves. <br /><br /><br />I go to As-is to see those defective/display items - very much cheaper provided I can live with the little kinks at that kind of price (additional plus is that we don’t have to assemble).  <br /><br />Always a fun place to roam. have to agree that quality of the items seem to be getting lower as the years go by.</p>

The only problem is the back board of the bookcase has sagged, but the shelves themselves are fine. I find that the quality of the furniture varies - the cheapest stuff isn't as hardy, but some of their higher-quality items seem OK. We've bought, used and discarded some of the cheaper items which didn't last so long. The most recent furniture items which we bought were 3 desks 5 yrs ago for my husband and daughters - they're still going strong.
