My kids (3 of them) all had good teachers. They had learned much and were always keen to go for classes.
However, in the last two years, the quality of teachers had varied significantly. I deliberately put my kids thru different classes during COVID to assess the quality of lessons. Some were not great.
Lastly, the centre now has a perpetual hybrid model. This isnt ideal for kids. How do i expect a four year old to sit thru a lesson. Personally, i dont think the centre is keen to work with parents for the benefit of the kids.

Would not recommend the centre.

regards

My eight-year-old son hasn't missed a single lesson for his English and Mathematics programmes since he started going to The Learning Lab in Primary One.
He appreciates that his teachers work hard to coach him in his studies, and he's well prepared to cope with challenges that he receives in the form of worksheets, mock tests and weekly homework. The teachers' dedication in guiding my son and their assessment of his performance are among the factors that influence him to be confident in completing his school work and achieving results that he can be proud of.
He has requested to attend the Science programme when he goes to Primary Three, without worrying about the increased workload in store because he's motivated to gain a greater experience at The Learning Lab.
As his parent, it's my hope that he will continue to enjoy his learning journey in a centre that upholds an excellent standard of teaching within a nurturing environment. I'm happy that The Learning Lab has helped to take away some of the stress of ensuring that my child is able to do his best in school!

JassyT

Reply to Learning Lab Preschool Programme on Wed, 12 Dec 2018 02:48:46 GMT

I am so happy with the feedback I received from my daughter’s English teacher in school. She had big improvement in her vocabulary. She always carries her vocabulary book from The Learning Lab with her to note down the new words and phrases and she reads from the book anytime and anywhere. My girl just joined The Learning Lab (TLL) P4 English. It amazes me that the size of the class is good enough for the children to get enough attention from their teacher. Library is my daughter’s favorite place to study and read books. Good thing that The Learning Lab has a very nice library in every branch and they have a wide variety of books! As for me, compared to other ordinary tuition centers, TLL English may not be related to things they are learning from school but it’s a good opportunity to learn something new that is outside their text books. I’m sure they will benefit from it more in the future.

It was when she was in N2.

What I liked:
- Materials - colourful, high quality.
- Teaching - teacher taught things that were a bit out of the box, like upside down houses etc. My dd found it interesting and liked going for class.

What made me stop:
- I felt while it was good to make my kid interested to learn, the learning itself could not really be quantified, she did not improve in her reading and understanding. I felt it was not worth the amount of money but I must say my kid really liked going for the classes. Perhaps it would work better for those who are already very strong in their basics. On the other hand, I thought it was also something as a parent I could do, to expose them to interesting and different topics to talk about.

Overall, I am not saying it is not good, just maybe something that is pure enrichment, not tuition.

annalee
