The recent cough probably has inflamed the airways more. Hopefully, the medications she is taking will resolve the problem eventually. You can try getting her to sleep on her side - it can help. I used to be asthmatic as a child, and also seem to have narrow airways. I can’t sleep on my back as I will start coughing, so I always sleep on my side.</p>
