It is an erasable book using whiteboard markers. Much easier for my son to practice. Can easily wipe off with tissue and redo the activity.

Recently saw their ad on Facebook and bought another set for my son to practice his handwriting.

If anyone is interested, the book is called Erasables by booksforlittletykes.

Have you stare at the computer and trying to do work for 6 hours ?
Yes, 6 hours. School starts at 8am - and ends around 1 pm

HBL actually follows school time table for some school

One lesson is about 1 hour.
And the child has to concentrate to watch the video or the teacher teaching the lessons
After that he has to try to do his homework online
It is not an easy task

Let the child rest after his HBL.

He needs to recover for school the next day

HBL follows the school time table or some specific time table.
There are tasks to be completed - and there are deadlines. (eg by submission by 5 pm)

Just because he is at home - it does not mean that you the parents have the freedom to ask him to do whatever or eat whenever. …

Give him space - personal space , personal time - to do his HBL and HBL work

A table and chair that he can call his own.
In school we are often required to ‘mark’ the attendance of the students in the class.
and required to ‘see’ the student ‘live’
The HBL lessons can also be ‘interactive’ requiring them to response to our ‘live’ lessons.
Surely the child would not want the mother asking him to eat - in the middle of his ‘live’ lessons!

Give your kids the ability to make decisions, it’s no matter what order the kids take on assignments and homework.
Create a suitable learning environment for children because every child has different learning and concentration abilities, and everyone will feel more comfortable in different environments.
Arrange a closing meeting to be held with the children at the end of each school day. Discuss the questions they have, mark everything that has been done and rate it.

I read newspapers during breakfast.

I visit a few finance and news websites and forums for information.

I take a few online courses.

I attend a few webinars.

I watch youtube videos.

I try to read widely outside my area of expertise and interest so I can get a broader perspective and discover new stuff.

I want to be open minded.

You don't know what you don't know.

Sometimes all you need is one good idea to change your life. Provided you act on the idea.

Nowadays everything is online because of the covid19.

You actually save time on travelling.

Bad study habits to avoid

1. Study without a plan. Set a goal for what to study and how much to study.
