As a mother, or maybe it’s just me, I always make sure others are taken care of, esp DH’s 2nd brush with dengue & he’s got high cholesterol & high blood. Good thing he listened to me coz he didn’t want to go NUH & so got him to SGH the moment he agreed. Sent him after dinner & he got admitted just right after midnight. That’s when I learnt it’s no fun going after midnight as it’s real hard to find taxi or Grab. Met many nurses till 5am then managed to see an incoming taxi. I read thereafter tt now with CB open up, these drivers are playing a game to pick passengers to nearest dropoffs to earn more at shortest time.

Imagine I was really flat out that morning and went home to realised son was alr having high fever w/o decline for 3-4 days. I kicked myself for neglecting him coz he was so quiet sleeping away. So, I’ve ano family at NUH (no choice coz only KKH & NUH provides pediatric care). I learnt so much coz I kept taking temp but the impt thing to watch is platelet count. Surprising NUH indicated that it’s his 2nd dengue infection. I thot it was a mistake but my GP frd explained coz he’s young & possibly 1st contact was mild & we might hv missed. No need to sponge or remove blanket. My son was really wise before going to NUH coz I was terribly worried he’s trapping all the heat in. How wrong was I. Learnt that external heat has no relation to internal body tem. Thank God his platelet count went up & shot higher than DH.

So, if I care for myself, don’t know what will happen to the 2 men in my h’hold. As I relate here, I can feel the hot forehead that worried me then. DS’s teacher was really kind. Call me daily to check how he’s recovering & gave assurance that he’s got the ability to catch up with 1-1 guidance. God has been good to my 2 men of my life!

Estéema

Reply to What probiotics are you using? on Mon, 16 May 2022 15:11:18 GMT

LNW you are a very considerate person.

Now that we have opened up…the scheduling or rescheduling should be better than before.
