No worries. My GP frd says gallbladder not an emergency, so can prioritize later. Just that then, I was annoyed the process so dragged out. On reflection, NUH seems to hv lost many experienced specialists & these new ones all hv no experience to carry out ops confidently. Gallbladder (as I shared before) was previously advised by my previous Dr Dede to remove & that was abt 18 years or more back. So, I’m not as worried. Just want to get it over now that I’m do much older & kids more independant alr.

When dh got it he was like 19/20 yo. By the time I knew it he was already hospitalized. I remember there were reports on blood cells/platelets thingy..and he lost so much of weight after the episode so I know it is quite serious matter.

Thk u MKS. Just living out the last days with all these affecting our lives - viruses, environmental impact to our lives, the changed world order. Just be vigil. Don’t need to get overly alarmed or worked up (like I did with NUH). I’ll pave out when things settles & go for a quick gall removal with private practitioner.

Do watch carefully for yr DH’s health & immediate A&E if high fever esp with signs of red spots in body. I guess u & yr hubby in 50s (pardon me if I got it wrong), so don’t risk coz will not recover as fast w/o complications like my ‘not so dashing’ young man.

Wow. You have so many others to look after. Remember, the first person to look after is yourself. Fix yourself before helping others fix themselves. Try to get your gall bladder to be treated ASAP, as you have many people dependent on you.

Frustrated by the public hospital system (particularly with ALL the very young specialist) and doc’s who don’t hv enuf experience, kept sending u for multiple investigations.

I decided not to be their guinea pig & address my family’s urgent needs recently. Both DH & DS just discharged fr dengue. Thankfully their platelets gone back up. I’ve been affected less but been thrown in a physically low/inactive doldrum.

I was having few days fever (38+), gums full of huge ulcers, terrible headaches, constipation (instead of soft stool can’t even moved but now back to soft stools) fingers tingling pain. When running btwn SGH & NUH to tender to others’ needs, I wasn’t monitoring my condition till my GP frd said he wants me to check into A&E. Then, as if the threat came timely, my bowels moved & fever gone.

My inflamed gut & gallbladder are 2 separate issues. Probiotics was prescribe to strengthen my gut but no antibiotics.

I’m not a diabetic, so hv no idea abt those fruits & prune juice but I reckon diabetics shld avoid/limit sugar intake. Follow doc’s advice. I know my late FIL was only limited to 900 ml of fluid a day. He wasn’t diabetic but had chronic kidney diseases. However, he was not cooperative & kept eating lots fruits offered to idols & drink lots of coffee everyday. So, we’ve to watch very carefully his total fluid intake o’wise his kidney will overload & eventually affects his heart & lung function.

Try eating lady’s fingers, bananas, papaya, prune juice for easing motion.

I’m still on probiotics for soft stools. Looks like will take a few months to get my inflamed gut healed.
