Apparently that kid has no life other than studying. Effectively, if you have 3 strong subjects, it could cover the inadequacy of 1 subject. <br /><br />However, under AL score,  every subject score matters. Eg if you have scored 3 AL1 and 1 AL4, that’s 7 points and in all likelihood, will miss out on the R &amp; H schools. Kid can still get a good 240-250 T score. <br /><br />But AL system, ultra high Math marks also won’t help since 91-100 is all AL1 mark only. Whereas if potato kid failing Chinese marks like 45-64 range, is considered AL6 mark.<br /><br />And don’t even dream of getting any exemption from Chinese, as MOE has already said that would immediately assign the kid a theoretical AL6-8 mark.</p>
