<![CDATA[Maths Olympial School at Kovan (Hougang)]]>hi guys, pretty new here as i am starting to look for tution centre for my girl…


heard there is a maths olympiad training school located opp. hougang old interchange which is near me. i think is call Mathshub@Kovan…

browse their website and pretty interesting with many references from different MOE schools…

Appreciate if anyone can give me any feedback before i call up and enquire… many thanks!

I feel maths tuition is a little stressful for our little ones.


Maths tuition centres are there to make $ from us. Unless you want your kids to be mathematicians.... I have friends who did maths in unis, they become teachers.

Too mathematical may be affecting EQ. ie. too calculative and dare not take risk.

Send them for creative courses.
Opps! haha Donkey, I got my girl signed up for the Pri 2 IQ maths. $240 per term, but she join late got rebate (not bad ^_^)

After the trial lesson my girl like the class alot, no choice leh.. Anyway this is an enrichment class with objective to drive interest in maths into the kids.. something like creative thinking and playing games related to maths lor.. Should be joining the Holiday Programmes too, else my kid will be too free 😞

Oh 2 weeks ago, the in charge told me they are organising an Enrichment Class for parents.. Something like Mindchamps, but cheaper la.. should I join???? Hmmm....

Hi Guan Hui! haha have been away for awhile.. yup.. called and checked. apparently the maths tuition is for weaker students while the olympiad is for better students who wish to compete among national level and had some good results in school already. This centre is pretty reputable in terms of maths olympiad. their principal is very active in hua chong i heard.

im planning to bring her over for a trial lesson.

hi guan hui, ya sending her over for maths tuition. they do have syllabus coaching or training. im looking at the difference between the two as well. so wan to gather more info before approaching them lor.
