Therefore, total vacancies for Phase 2C is 9 roll over from 2B + 66 = 75.

Hi! Anyone has any updates on how MGS is doing so far? DD’s registration is for P2C but we are within 1-2km actually. So need to see if she stands a chance, otherwise no choice will try to register at SMPS. CHIJ (Our Lady of Peace would probably be plan B)…

My daughter is up for Phase 2C and I'm so nervous. :scared: ...will be trying for SMSS although preferred was MGS due to distance.

Following the question from buzzmum, what if the address of each of the parent is different and each having different school that is within 1 km. Registration could be at either school depending on the circumstances on the day of registration with intention to stay at the address near the school that is sucessful. Is this then legal?

I would think this will be a very red flag to the authorities to investigate where they actually stay. If I were the school, that'll be the first one my list (unless they have separation/divorce papers).

It's not a joke moving house, and also will there be childcare issues in moving from house A to B?

To buzzmum, I would suggest they move to the property within 1km if they are serious about letting the girl study there. Being nearer to the school and hence allowing kiddo (and parents) more zzzz time is really no joke.

Thanks for the advice hquek! Have shared this with them. As much as they would like to...unfortunately I don't think they can do that coz the other property is not big enough to house the whole family...

Yea that's what I heard too and already informed her. So I guess they have to make an informed decision...

I'm reporting in here...DD is due for P1 and I'm getting nervous thinking of the possible schools for her... Only option now is Phase 2C. There's no school within 1km unfortunately . And the girls school within 2km I think is MGS & CHIJ Our Lady of Queen Peace. The preferred is MGS but looking at past trends seems like balloting was only for 1km unless some miracle happens this year. Otherwise we have to look at outside 2km like SMPS or RGPS (not too keen with RGPS coz it's not affiliated & possibly no chance also for outside 2km)... So will see how... :scratchhead:


By the way...I can't seem to find balloting history for Phase 2C last year..Does anyone have this?
