Hi Mummies,
I’m a SAHM for about 3 years already ever since my DD was born. I have changed helper 3 times and finally I have one that is good! Luckily she started working for me just before my son was born last year, so it really helps to have extra hands around the house.
My first helper was sick (health problems) so very nervous and forgetful and always crying - which made me feel really bad cos I felt like I was making her cry but I wasn’t!! Then she wanted to go home after only 4 months cos she was sick and wanted to be with her family. Although I brought her to doctor and she was being treated for illness, she was depressed.
My second helper was LAZY and dirty. She loved my DD but the rest of the housework was ignored. Considering I took care of my DD myself everyday and would leave house at 11am and come home at 6pm (go my mum house), when I come home, the house is dirty. Laundry takes 3 weeks! But I felt sorry for her so kept her for her 2 year contract (I’m so dumb my friends said).
My current helper is a Godsend. I cuoldn’t ask for more. I think it’s luck of the draw. Also learn from my lesson - if you are not happy with helper, send her back to agency. Don’t keep her for 2 years!

RE: The Odyssey Creative Learning Centre
Hi, I’m thinking of enrolling my girl in the Odyssey Fourth Ave. It’s a new branch which will be headed by Rupal - who was centre director of another branch previously.
The fees are super steep! But the 6:1 ratio is very appealing to me as my DD is shy.
Does anyone have any sharing of whether the curriciulum prepares the kids properly for Pr1 eventually?? That’s my worry.
Any previous experience with the school to share?
