RE: CHIJ Our Lady of the Nativity
Dear gancheongdaddy,
My girl is in P1 last year, this year going to P2. I bought the chinese cards i think 2 boxes, but they didn’t use it at all. I bought the chinese and english dictionaries and school also didn’t use it at all, they are basically for your own daughter’s reference or usage. So if you want your girl to read extra materials, then you can buy. Else you can save the money too.
Hope above is useful.

RE: CHIJ Our Lady of the Nativity
Hi did any of your DD told you that sometimes they had to sit on the floor to write? Think this is not very good for the young kids right? There is desk and chairs, and I don’t understand why teacher had to do that?
My DD told me teacher asked them to sit on the floor to write. But not always, anyway, just wanted to ask if your little ones told you the same thing too?
Thanks. -
RE: CHIJ Our Lady of the Nativity
Hi happy new year to all, my little one is very happy with the school, her buddy is also very nice. Lately she told me a classmate demanded things from her and I think all parents need to educate our little ones not to take things from others, I do understand the young ones need guidance not to ask for gifts. Yesterday a teacher gave a card to some students who score full marks for their spelling n I heard this little girl who does not have the card demanded it from her classmate. She threaten not to befriend her if she refused to give her, poor thing the kind girl unwillingly gave that card to her, so I felt we parents need to constantly talk to our kids. They shud not be the bullly in class or the ones being bullied. Well the little ones characters need to be mould n we parents really hv an important role to play. We sure want to inculcate moral values in this young ones.

Does anyone has a good recommendation for such a holiday intensive course for hanyupinyin? -

Hi, the Orientation day for P1 students is 19 November. School is really very systematic and organized, I have gotten all the pupil forms, stationery and booklists, uniform sizes form, and transport request form. May I know on that day, will there be someone to help us with the uniform measurements, coz I am not sure how to take her measurement correctly actually.
Thanks if someone can offer some advice.
Experienced vendors can tell you the recommended size just by looking at your kiddo.
Also, they will have sample for you to 'measure' on the spot. -

Hi, i think in Feb, every Thursday the girls have to stay back till 4pm. My niece is in P1 this year, and going to P2 next.
Ha ha...don't get stressed too early...we are attending the orientation on 19 Nov at 8.45am and you can ask the teachers all your queries then.

RE: All About Choosing and Buying Pianos
Hi friends,
Does anyone has a recommendation of a patient and good piano teacher who can make a trip to the student’s house? Student is 7 years old now and had learnt piano but her current teacher stopped teaching. She is staying at Hougang Ave 10. Prefer to learn on Tuesday evenings.
Thanks…
