BTW, mums, pls advise - when shld I start pushing my ds to prepare for his O levels next year? Becos Sec 4 is a very short year, should he start preparing this Dec?

yup start preparing this Dec. In fact school would also have extra lessons during the term 4 hols (I think 2 weeks in dd1 case)
and yes when sec 4 term starts it will be very hectic cos they are rushing to complete the syllubus, Dd had common tests in jan/feb followed by first prelim in Apr, not forgetting they also still have some final cca commitments.
